Wide Ties
Ties2Pillows.com is happy to offer a "wide" variety of ties for sale, and not just from the 70's, although that's the era most people first think of when someone mentions 5" wide ties. Wide ties, or fat ties, were common during the Zoot Suit era of the late 30's and into the flamboyant 40's, and were reintroduced in the mid 60's, a trend that lasted for another ten years and fully blossomed into what some people refer to as the "Peacock Style" of the 70's. Many of these wide ties were constructed of thick polyester fabrics, which created very large knots when tied. Wide ties with big knots combined with the oversized jacket lapels men were wearing, was very fashionable at the time.
